Houses has flooded houses on the Spanish Canary Island of Lanzarote. Streets turned into muddy rivers after six centimeters of rain had fallen within two hours on Saturday.
Cars were stuck on flooded roads, floods flowed under a bridge. “We have worked all night and accepted more than 300 phone calls, many of them in Arrecife and Tuise. Some houses are flooded and what remains is a large amount of mud,” said Enrique Espinosa, the head of the emergency services.
According to the authorities, no injuries have been reported so far. The emergency situation was proclaimed after the tours. The residents must avoid travel that are not necessary to prevent possible damage.

Floods in March
There were only floods in Spain in March, also in the provinces of Sevilla and Toledo. Several people were killed. The floods were caused by both rain and snow melting.
