Seniors who look too deep into the glass regularly risk the overload on their brain cells, warns a Linz addiction expert. In old age, alcohol apparently stays considerably longer in the body than at a young age, which causes much more damage.
Every third has problems drinking at older age – and there is not the absorption of liquid in itself, but the alcohol is intended. A new international study by Meduni Vienna shows that alcohol abuse increases in seniors. Not surprisingly, older men take much more than their female counterparts. Strangely enough, sporting seniors drink more because they want to reward themselves for sweating and chrams when they are relaxed together in the Shani.
