A well-fed hedgehog got stuck in a garden fence in Schwadorf in the Lower Austrian district of Bruck an der Leitha. Florianis saved the spiky friend.
The hedgehog whose walk in Schwadorf ended abruptly in a garden gate on Tuesday may have had a little too much around his spiky hips. The “Fat Kurt”, as he was later affectionately called by the fire service, got stuck in the grille of a gate. Fortunately passers-by discovered the helpless four-legged friend, but an initial rescue attempt failed. That is why the Florianis were informed.
Fast on site
Because there was already a team in the fire station at that time, you could quickly get out in the event of an animal emergency. Moments later, the well-fed hedgehog was “loose” unharmed. A comrade carefully enlarged the opening of the gate, “Kurt” trolled away.
