Cheers in Styria about the admission of the nurses in the regulation of the heavy employees: one of the six requirements of the referendum “SOS Nursing”, which started only a few days ago, was fired. Why it is still important to support the styric initiative.
Sometimes dreams come true. After the affected have fought in vain to recognize nursing as a serious profession for years, the new federal government of the ÖVP, Spö and Neos actually want to do this. This means that nurses can retire earlier and with fewer discounts.
Leobner Klaus Katzianka has always been paramount in Styria when it comes to the “urgently necessary upgrade” of the nursing profession. Accordingly, he responds to the announced innovation from Vienna: “I am extremely happy that we have demanded the regulation of the heavy employees as one of the six central points only a few days ago – and it will be a reality.”
Nursing compensation required required
The “we” encloses the styrically graduated nurse Franz Karner, with whom Katzianka jointly initiated the referendum “SOS Nursing” (we reported). This has now begun, the central question is aimed at the abolition of the nursing service for people who prefer to be cared for in their own four walls than in a house. As you know, the State only covers the costs for care in a facility. “We hope that as many people as possible acknowledge how much you can change with a visit to the municipal office with your signature,” says Katzianka.
De Leobner does not want to comment on the fact that other professional groups such as hospital doctors call for admission to the regulation of the heavy employees. So much: “I am afraid that the weakest will eventually stay.”
