Linz Westring – First accident in Falkberg -Tunnel: four injured

Nobody was guaranteed to be happy with this premiere: on Saturday at 11.18 am there was the first serious traffic accident in the Nieuwe Freinberg tunnel of the Westring: four of them were seriously injured.

A 39-year-old Romanian from Linz rode on Saturday with a small truck on the A26, with the highway from Urfahr to Hummelhof/Obere Donaulände. In the South 2-Tunnel complex he lost control of the vehicle that he was directed, came to the oncoming lane, pushed against the edge of the emergency situation, pushed 50 meters along and eventually bumped into a car that came from the B127, directed by a 56-year-old Welser.
