Brand alarm on Tuesday morning in East Tyrol: a normal bus went up in flames in the municipal area of Amlach. The vehicle was on fire within a very short time. More than 50 emergency services arrived. Fortunately, nobody was injured, according to the “Krone” information.
Various reports were received by the Tyrol Control Center around 11 am. “Brand bus” was the code with which the fire brigade was warned. A region bus had risen in flames in the area of Tristachersee.
“Only the driver was in the vehicle at the time of the fire outbreak,” said Fire Brigade Operations Manager Michael Preyer in an interview with the “Krone”. Fortunately, the driver could get to safety on time. “He was not injured,” said it.
More than 50 emergency services of the Fire Brigades Amlach, Tristach and Lienz eventually fought against the flames. “The bus is completely burned out,” said De Preyer. The cause of the fire may have been a technical defect.
