Teacher trade Unionist Thomas Krebs increases the alarm! The most recent survey among a few hundred mandatory school teachers shows a drastic picture: three of the four educators state that they are regularly confronted with students who are not considered school. Not because of learning weaknesses – but because of mass behavioral problems.

“These students endanger classmates and teachers, so massively disrupt the lessons,” says Krebs, chairman of the representation of the Vienna State Teacher. He talks about children who blow up the system – and about a system that has no useful answer. Almost 70 percent of the teachers studied reported report on their own experience in the classroom. Parents do not cooperate – and even threaten
According to Kanker, a teacher has been documenting her injuries – daily bite wounds, hematomas, stay in the hospital for weeks. And not in an individual case. What continues to escalate the situation: parents who not only do not work together – but even threaten the teaching staff. Cancer quickly requires more help for the educators: “We are on the edge of the pedagogical disability to act. Those who do not act now risk the entire system.”
