In Wiener Neustadt there was a warehouse in flames on Friday evening. Shortly before 8 p.m. there were also huge clouds of smoke from the surrounding cities. There were therefore several emergency calls in the Wiener Neustadt Alarm Center.
The fire threatened to extend to adjacent areas over the roof structure. The extinguishing water supply was also a challenge. The Brigade Wiener Neustadt therefore received support for other surrounding voluntary fire brigades and the large fire truck in Neunkirchen.
In the night of Saturday at 11:45 PM the fire was finally “under control”. The fire brigades use various lifting devices and extinguishing lines. According to the FF Wiener Neustadt, the subsequent extinguishing “a few hours” lasted because the fire brigade had to be distributed in the hall and had to be deliberately extinguished. The operation can finally be terminated at 4.45 am.
Nobody was injured, said Saturday morning. 130 Fire Brigade members, but also forces of the Red Cross, the water works and other organizations, were deployed.
