Viennese must take three huge public obstacles from school and then for the entire July and August: S-Bahn, U4 and ring lines are also cut. Diviation requires patience and sometimes creativity, because the replacement routes are different than in previous years.
The All School Holidays (28 June to 1 September) have to torture itself via three large stiletto pipes in Vienna: the S-Bahn between Floridsdorf and Pratersern is closed again, plus the U4 between Scot ring and Friedensbrücke and also the BIM ring lines between Schwarzenbergplatz and Scotching below).

The fact that the construction sites “will not contribute to the joy of passengers”, ÖBB Infrastructure Officer Judith Engel also has. With her counterpart to the Viennese lines, Gudrun Senk, she campaigned for understanding at the first presentation of the public obstacles: the summer months are “still the mildest means”, because given the size of the upcoming tasks, only night building places are excluded. For the network they are only as “a plaster” for fast grasping. The upcoming construction sites fall under the open heart category.
