Shortly after 5 a.m., a 41-year-old German drove her car in the middle lane towards the Brenner Pass. According to the police, a dark car driving next to her in the right lane suddenly pulled in front of her. “To avoid a collision, the 41-year-old tried to swerve to the left but hit the guardrail on the left side of the road,” the investigators said.
The car skidded, hit the guardrail again and came to a stop in the third lane. As a result of the accident, the 41-year-old and her daughter (16), who was also in the car, were injured to an unknown extent and taken by ambulance to the Innsbruck clinic.
Second driver drove on
According to the woman, the driver of the second car should not have noticed the accident. The second and third lanes were closed during the recording of the accident.
