This video (above), recorded by a driver on a highway in China, has been circulating on the internet for days. It features a giant yellow Burmese python crawling out the window of a moving car and then over the rear window before losing its footing and falling off the car.
The footage was taken a week ago near the city of Yiyang in China’s Hunan province. The scaly reptile crawled out of the car and squirmed its way up to the rear bumper.
Animal taken to the vet with minor injuries
Moments later, however, the snake could no longer hold the smooth body and fell on the road. The tiger python (also known as the Burmese python, take note) has been recovered by the highway maintenance department and taken to the vet with minor injuries.
“The snake has probably been the car owner’s pet since he stepped out of the window,” said the driver behind the vehicle. Police are now trying to locate the owner of the car and the python.
