Daring scenes played in the Tyrolean Kemaaten (Innsbruck-Land District) late on Wednesday evening: a candle had activated a fire on a balcony. When the resident wanted to extinguish this with a ceiling, she also caught fire. A neighbor got wind and put an emergency call.
Shortly before 11 p.m. on the balcony of an apartment in Kemaaten, the plastic housing of a candle caught fire. “The 62-year-old resident tried to put the fire out with a blanket, with the ceiling also on fire,” the police reported.
Nobody was injured
A neighbor immediately made an emergency call. The alarmed fire brigade was quickly at hand – it went out of fire and then brought the affected apartment. Fortunately, nobody was injured.
