Wolf speeds animals two kilometers
A wolf drove seven calves and two calves (cattle that have not yet been calved) away from the herd. The animals broke the barbed wire fence and were rushed through the Wolf two kilometers through the area. “The wolf may have clearly overtaken the calves – we followed the traces – he drove them back,” Rud describes the nocturnal dedication.
“I didn’t see the wolf – but the owners of the cattle were absorbed”. The involved owners of pets rode the wolf with screams and blows. “A wolf has been seen, but it cannot be excluded that there are two.” Afterwards, wounds were found on five animals. “You really saw your toothed bloody crack and pinching wounds on the bindings and on your shoulder.”
The entire hunting company is on its way
The injuries are without permanent damage, ensures that RUD. “It may be that the wolf will not return or just pop up tomorrow – we have already experienced everything.” The hunting company in this area is currently on the road, some probably also all night, because “we have to ward off the danger,” Rud said in an interview with the “Kroon”.
“We have to be careful now. If the wolf has already attacked the cattle, it is a risk that Wolf and a shooting will be considered and it cannot be died.” Usually the animals would have driven to the Alpine meadow on Saturday, but “they are very traumatized – the calves are in shock.”
