This is what the Linzers say about the idea
But what do the countrymen actually think of the idea? The “Kroon” was in the capital on Monday morning. “In short, I would be happy if the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 takes place in Linz, but I can honestly not imagine because we do not have the possibilities. In combination with Wens I would rather imagine it,” says Hermann Hoflehner (68).
His wife Maria Hoflehner (70) sees it in the same way: “In Linz I don’t think that would be possible. We have too few sights for the artists before the Eurovision Song Contest.”
Defne Öztürk (19) does not agree with that: “I think it would be feasible in Linz. We have some places that are suitable. I would definitely watch the Eurovision song competition if it takes place in Linz.”
