Russia was excluded from the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in Basel because of the war against Ukraine. However, since the spectacle has many fans, President Vladimir Putin has instructed to launch the Interision Song Contest. More than 20 countries would have already been agreed.

Among them are China, India, States from Latin -America and the Middle East. The music competition ordered by the ESC after the exclusion of the ESC will take place on 20 September in the Live Arena of Moscow. Up to 11,000 spectators have room there.

The Russian state of television confirmed the participation of the ultra -nationalist singer Jaroslaw Dronow, which appears repeatedly under the stage name Saman. Media had already reported the name in March. “It’s hard to be the first, but I’m not shy either,” said Shaman, who is a glowing in favor of Putin and in favor of the war in Ukraine.

The Interision Song Contest was already held in the Cold War for the Soviet times. In 2008, the Russian Dima Bilan won the Eurovision Song Contest.
