Many more than 1200 musicians together in Frankfurt/Main have together in the Waldstadion and have established an album: they formed the world’s largest live rock band, as Olaf Kuchenbecker found from the Germany record institute in the evening.
In total, 1231 musicians play together. “This improved the rather valid world record of 2023 from Vienna with 1112 participants and is now in Frankfurt,” said Judge Kuchenbecker.
Hits from Tina Turner, Toten Hosen and U2
All musicians had followed a call to participate in the record attempt in the Waldstadion. They came to Frankfurt with a wide range of instruments from drums to electric guitar.

The world record could be cracked in Frankfurt:
Last record at the Danube Island Festival
According to the institute, more than 1112 musicians had to be hit in Frankfurt to surpass the previous album that was set up at the Danube Island Festival in Vienna.
Two years ago exactly 1112 people played a song of Metallica as a huge band.
