Drama in Alcove (Upper Austria): A 66-year-old woman went swimming in her own pool in the afternoon. When her husband looked out the window moments later, he saw his wife floating face down in the water.
A 66-year-old Alcove woman swam in the house pool on Thursday afternoon while her 68-year-old husband was on the second floor of the apartment complex. When the man looked out the window around 4:20 p.m., the shock was: he saw his wife floating face down in the pool.
Neighbors rushed to help
He immediately ran into the garden and pulled his wife out of the pool. With loud cries for help, he drew attention to the emergency, whereupon his close 65-year-old neighbor quickly rushed to the rescue. Together they performed CPR measures. Other neighbors who came to help, aged 32 and 28, supported the two and set the rescue chain in motion.
No debt to third parties
The resuscitation measures were carried out by those present until the arrival of the emergency room doctor and the rescue team. The emergency doctor also tried everything, ultimately in vain. He found the woman dead around 4:40 p.m. No indications were found for debts to third parties.
