These are the most common consequences of pathological obesity, also called obesity. In Austria, 41 percent of all adults are affected. Two doctors give simple tips for a healthier life.
“Research shows clearly: people with obesity have a considerably higher risk of suffering from serious complications. Some of these risks have even tripled more than diabetes mellitus, sleep apnea or fat metabolism,” warns Steve-Oliver Müller-Muttons, primarily for professional medicines. “These are diseases that shorten life and can limit life enormously.”
