At the beginning of May there was an incident with counterfeit money in a supermarket in Vienna-Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus. Two men between the ages of 36 and 39 wanted to pay with a fake of 50 euros at the cashier. But the attentive cashier noticed the falsification and immediately warned the police.
The two suspects, however, left the supermarket at Märzstrasse before the emergency services arrived – without taking the goods. The branch manager responded with the lightning speed, followed the men on foot and continuously passed the police to the police.
In Guntherstrasse, the officials were able to stop the volatile men and provided 26 fake 50-euro banknotes, a fake-Italian driver’s license and a foreign bank card.
Unmanageable
The two suspects were arrested, but disputed the fake of money during interrogation. They were transferred to a prison.
