For their protest against the import of fertilizers and natural gas from Russia, Greenpeace -activists stolen a wax figure by President Emmanuel Macron on Monday.
According to the police, two women and one man spent themselves as tourists and visited the Grevin Museum in Paris. There they changed their outfit and became “employees” and made access to otherwise blocked areas. Then they were looking for the 40,000 euros wax figure of the French head of state and therefore fled over an emergency exit.
Emmanuel Macron’s “Double Game”
Then the Greenpeace -activists went to the French embassy in Paris and set up the Macron figure. With their campaign they wanted to point out the “double match” of the state: “He supports Ukraine, at the same time he encourages French companies to continue to trade with Russia.”
In 2023 and 2024 and 2024, France in fact increased his liquid GAS imports from Russia and did not fall under the sanction regime and 81 percent. However, France is planning to do completely without Russian gas and oil by 2027.
