Cruel report of animal cruelty in Maria Saal in Carinthia! A hitherto unknown assailant shot a horse in a pasture and then attacked its carcass.
The brutal incident is believed to have taken place between June 29 and 30. A previously unknown assailant is believed to have shot a four-year-old stallion with a small-bore rifle standing in a meadow in Maria Saal.
It is not yet known why the case was not reported until July 8. “Then the owner came to us. An evaluation of traces is no longer possible because the animal has already been processed,” says Harald Wiedermann, commander of the Maria Saal police station, adding: “We are asking possible witnesses for useful information. Maybe has anyone seen anything.”
