Was it a dog? – already discovered third deer with bite wounds

Date:

It is said that a free -rowing dog has mistreated a Kitz in Kefermarkt in the upper Austria, so that it is seriously injured for survival. It is good thanks to an attentive family that the animal still has a spark of life. It is not the first case in the district.

A family from Kefermarkt was surprised when a series on the garden gate suddenly stood on Saturday. “I went with my three -year -old daughter and I wondered where it comes from,” says Melanie Z. (36). The animal whimpered very tenderly, was wounded in the eye and had no fur on his forehead. What especially noticed: “It wasn’t shy at all, didn’t run away. Almost as if we wanted it to help him,” says Mrs. Z.

Wounds were already inflamed
The 36-year-old inquired an animal welfare center, which she referred to the Animal Aid Guunthal. There you asked the Finder to catch the animal. “We put the series in a box when the series. My daughter was baptized Bambi. After fifteen minutes the pet paciers were already with us.” Klaus Finster, chairman of Tierhilfe Gustetal, handed the seriously injured Kitz to the Freistadt Animal Shelter. “It has several heavy bite wounds on the head. They were already inflamed and full of maggots,” says Finster.

“Dogs belong in the forest and meadows on a belt”
Animal rights activists are sure that a free dog is responsible for the injuries. He appeals to all dog owners not to let their four -legs -friends wave through forests and meadows -especially during the institution time. A general belt obligation would not apply in the forest, but according to the Animal Welfare Act dogs should be performed in such a way “that people and animals are not in danger”.

Mother is looking for her boy
This year the animal rights activists in the Freistadt district had already covered the third Kitz with bite wounds. While the seriously injured young deer of Kefermarkt is fighting to survive, the mother is desperately looking for her boy. “We saw the goats several times in the meadow and heard how she calls her series,” says Mrs. Z.

Year after year, hunters in Upper Austria are involved in the Kitz Rescue. Entire meadows are flown with drones or sought on foot to prevent the shy young deer from being admitted and killed.

Bite attacks can be avoided with much less effort. Dog owners just have to take their animals on the belt in forest and meadow areas. Not all year round, at least on the institution time.
