With rescue in the clinic – Tyrolean (21) crashes into truck with full force

Fatal traffic accident Monday afternoon in Tyrolean Völs (Innsbruck-Land district): A 21-year-old driver drove her small car into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with an oncoming truck. The young woman was injured and was admitted to the Innsbruck clinic.

The serious accident happened around 3:30 PM on L12 Götzner Straße. The young driver was driving uphill when, for reasons unknown, she suddenly turned into the oncoming lane and crashed into the truck. The injured had to be rescued from the wreckage. After first aid at the accident site, the 21-year-old was taken to the Innsbruck clinic by rescue operations.

Hours of roadblock
The Dutch truck driver (46) escaped unscathed and unharmed. Due to the rescue and clean-up work, Götzner Straße was closed to all traffic until about 7.30 pm. In addition to rescue workers, emergency physician and police, the fire brigades in Völs and Götzens were also present.
