An unknown woman suddenly ran across the road at the Innsbruck Mitterhoferstraße tram stop at 1:11 PM to catch a tram. At the same time, there was an ambulance in Reichenauer Strasse. The 19-year-old driver of the rescue vehicle had to initiate an emergency stop because of her.
“A patient who was in a wheelchair in the back of the vehicle was catapulted forward and injured his head,” police said.
Police looking for witnesses
The patient was cared for by the 19-year-old and his passenger and eventually taken to the Innsbruck clinic. The pedestrian boarded the tram before her data could be taken.
