New “prosperity” brings more time to reproduce

Fight for the few breeding sites
And another big problem is the many pigeons: they have to compete for the few suitable breeding grounds in the city and undergo it under poor hygienic conditions and under constant stress.

If the birds are fed next to a busy street, the risk is of course higher that they also land for cars,” he warns. Because this photo is increasingly becoming clear in the station area: the animals die painfully because they just underestimate cars or buses.
To contain animal suffering, the city of Salzburg stretched measures to the ban on nutrition. “No massive food could be found during the last checks,” reports Vice -Mayor Florian Kreibich (ÖVP).
