The sunny weather on Sunday ended in the city center of the municipality of Gnesau (Carinthia) with flooding of streets, cellars and Mura outputs. 60 edits tried to pump the water.
The Austrian storm center had already predicted that the sun would end on Sunday afternoon with violent thunderstorms and hail. The municipality of Gnesau in the Feldkirchen district was mainly affected.
Mura goes over, street and basement
The violent rain showers in the center of Gnesau stopped about 50 minutes. Some cellars were flooded there and had to be pumped out. That is why there were also floods at TurraCher Straße in various places. This had to be blocked temporarily. Three fire brigades, from Gnesau, Himmelberg and Zedlitzdorf, were deployed with a total of 12 vehicles and 60 men.
The south of Gnesau was not spared either. There was a great degeneration of Kircherbach in the forest. Fortunately, no people are damaged.
