A woman had 500 bed bugs on the day after an overnight stay in an apartment in Innsbruck (Tyrol) in 2024. A lawsuit was successful a year later, but the procedure against black rent was terribly long.
A short stay in an apartment in Innsbruck near the train station caused a sensation last year – reported the “Krone”. A woman from the upper Austria (name of the editor’s name) found a completely dirty and covered with bed bugs. She was there with her mother.
Instead of a musical weekend, your holiday became a horror trip. They immediately searched for the vastness. The next day the woman counted about 50 bites only on one knee. Days later there were more than 500 all over the body.
Woman brought history to lawyer: attack
The victim set all levers in motion to contact the landlord – without success. She handed the subject to her lawyer. Intentional physical damage and compensation were in the Chamber. The Tourism Association announced that it was a black rent. Nevertheless, the apartment was offered on a well -known booking platform (under a new name).
A year later, the terrible experience for the woman should now end. The landlord’s insurance was provided 1500 euros, because it cannot be excluded that bedbugs also transmit borreliosis. “I accepted it because I want the tiring subject of the table.”
According to her, the procedure also lasted so long because there was a good company that had been walking around the apartment and only to determine which company the apartment was. A lawsuit was rejected “because we had met the requirements of the wrong business part”.
“Excursion to private rent was enough to teach me”
Innsbruck continues to keep the woman loyalty, although she is now more careful when choosing the accommodation: “This year I booked a hotel for the festival weeks. The excursion to private rental was enough for me.”
