The “excursion” for a first cow in the Tyrolean Zillertal ended tragically. After the animal had overcome the gate of a meadow, it came in the “Ziller” River. Unfortunately, attempts to save failed. In the end, only the grace of a hunter helped.
The incident took place on Thursday. “Shortly after 10 a.m., the Ried Police in the Zillertal was informed that there would be a cow in the Ziller in Uderns,” says the Executive Press Office. As it turned out, the animal may have more silently conquered the fence of a meadow and have been broken down.
Attempts to save fail
“Try the water rescue and the fire brigades to save the animal from the river has failed.” In the end, a hunter had to be called. The latter moved the “extremely aggressive animal”. The dead cow was then restored from the river.
