Mom’s face balloons after spending £800 on a treatment to treat drooping eyelids

Date:

The mother spent 800 yen on treatment to fix ‘sagging’ eyelids and eye bags – only to make her entire face look dull all night for her parents and her teenage son can’t look at her. Mariana Jancy opted for fibroblast plasma therapy, in which the device blocks high-frequency electric current in the skin to facilitate tissue regeneration.

The 40-year-old spent a significant amount of money on an early treat on his birthday hoping the 41-year-old would take a “few years off”. He left a 13-year-old son who couldn’t stay in the same room.

The marketing consultant has now shared images of the healing process to warn people about the reality of the treatment, as he says the promotional images do not fully reflect what we should expect. Mariana, from Northampton, East Midlands, said: “I’ll turn 41 next week and that was the idea: I wanted to take a few years off work, hoping to be 35 instead of 41.

“My eyelids are very droopy on top and literally hang from my eyelashes as I see them – so it’s not just about looking at them, it’s actually annoying because of my eyesight. I also have extra skin and dark circles. I was hoping this would help lift the skin a little bit because it’s hard to put on makeup. Because the skin is too much.

“Because my skin is red and have little spots, but when I woke up the next morning, I was really swollen. Then my eyes went down a bit too.

“I knew what to expect, but I was still in shock when I woke up and realized I ‘have to go to parent’s night’ and meet my son’s teachers looking like that.”

A mother of four says she couldn’t help but laugh at her extremely puffy eyes and her parents’ night out just a day after meeting the teachers. Most of his family also thought it was ridiculous, but said his 13-year-old son seemed to have developed an unknown phobia, and seeing the burnt spots around his eyes made him feel “uncomfortable”.

Because of this, the teenager could not stay in the room with his mother for several days and still could not look her in the face on Mother’s Day. Mariana said: “My family thought it was really funny, but my son must have been afraid of holes or something because he literally couldn’t even look at me or he was in my room.

“It made him feel really awkward and laugh because it was Mom’s Sunday and he was worried about how he was going to spend with me, it seemed like that. Luckily some places are already gone and he can at least stay in the same room with me even if he doesn’t look at me.”

Anti-aging treatments target and stimulate the protein and collagen-producing skin cells, causing the area to stretch. The hot current creates tiny holes in the skin layer that must be allowed to heal properly to avoid complications such as scarring and pigmentation.

This means that Mariana was not able to wash her face for five days until the scars had healed and peeled off, and only ten days later she was able to get her makeup back. Mariana says she expected swelling after the operation, but was “shocked” at how severe it was.

Mariana Jancy’s face shone

Now he hopes to warn someone else evaluating the treatment about the reality of the healing process, warning that commercial shots appear immediately after the procedure, before the swelling begins. “They have a special apparatus of fibroblasts,” Mariana said. “This is how you burn: your skin looks like it’s on fire when you do that.”

“At first they put some soothing cream on, but it’s still very painful and I’m strong, and I can take a lot of pain. I knew the swelling would happen because it was recommended by an esthetician, but when you Google it it never shows up.

“You might think twice if you Google a picture of my face shape, because it’s real, but it’s not what you see when they post it. Correct recovery and before you see it, it takes a while. Results, so there’s no quick fix.”

The mum now has three months to wait to see the full results of the procedure, but says she can actually see the difference under her eyes now that the swelling has started. If the treatment works, he says, it will be more expensive than the wrinkle injections he’s previously had, which must be refilled every two months.

Mariana said: “The swelling is mostly gone and I look the same as before the treatment – I’m just waiting to see results but my eyes are already a little raised. I don’t want to change my look. I don’t do it like eye drops and I just want to get back what I had and rest for a few years” I don’t think That you have to age gracefully – if you want to do something to make you feel better, do it. “
