First the baby goat survived a 25 -meter crash, then she had to endure in a sultry heat for three days without water and food in a rock wall in the Tyrolean Unterinntal. The Kramsach/surroundings Mountain Rescue could free the unfortunate animal on Friday evening.
It was on Thursday at 8:30 PM. When Alpine -Boeren from the region turned to the Kramsach/Area Mountain Rescue. They had discovered a missing young goat that still sucks their “mother” on a rocky lead about 25 meters below the top cross of the Patuschekogel (1549 m, Brandenberger Alps, Kufstein District). The animal was stuck there, a rescue by the farmers themselves was not possible.
Immediate rescue
“Because sultry temperatures were also announced for Friday, we decided to make an immediate rescue mission for the animal’s well -being,” says Judith Kirchner, head of operations at the Kramsach/surroundings Mountain Rescue.
13 Emergency services for the baby goat
A stately 13-person operational team initially drove the car to a piece below the top and then came to the highest point on foot. Then the delicate part of the mission began. “It could not be predicted how the animal would react in the rock wall when they encounter a mountain rescue,” Kirchner explains.
Mountain -Rescendants pulled with animal experience
Two emergency services with animal experience – one of them is even a farmer – Roped 25 meters in the wall on the goat. They found the four -legged friend there completely exhausted. That is probably the reason why the young goat was tame, did not fought against the rescuers and did not endanger them.
“Meckerer” in the mountain bag
“This way we can easily place them in a mountain bag,” says Kirchner. Subsequently, the emergency services were pulled 25 meters with the unusual “luggage” on the back.
Exhausted and dehydrated
The young animal was exhausted and dehydrated, but had survived the crash as if they were through a miracle without injuries. Almost a miracle it happens that it survived for three days in the sun in the sun.
Baby Geit immediately ran to the “mother”
“We then transferred the goat to the mad yellow farmers on the spot who immediately supplied them,” says Kirchner. The small complaint was then housed in a stable with his herd and immediately ran to his “mother”. The mission was successfully completed around midnight.
The goat will probably be more careful with the next excursion. “Then she will romp around the Alpine meadow,” says the Mountain Rescuer.
