Police dog “Sam” did all the work in the night from Wednesday to Thursday. The shepherd was able to catch a 14-year-old breaking into a construction container in Sulz in Vorarlberg. The boy is reported to the public prosecutor’s office.
At around 2 a.m., the radio patrol from Rankweil was called to Sulz because of suspicious noises coming from construction containers. Also present: the service dog patrol with police dog “Sam”.
Open window discovered
On arrival, the officers found an open window in one of the containers, which had probably been broken open with physical force. After failing to respond to repeated requests to leave the container, “Sam” was sent into the container through the window. The four-legged friend jumped into the container and barked to indicate that the burglar was still there.
Officials were then surprised that the intruder was a 14-year-old boy living in Röthis. He was subsequently arrested by the officers and reported to the public prosecutor’s office.
