Two places in a styrician primary school remained empty in this school year: “The children fought back to school with their hands and feet. We tried everything, but they no longer wanted to. They were also bullied,” says the father of a girl and a boy in the Styria State Administration Court. Because the parents submitted a complaint against the fine for violating school (110 euros per child).
“You learn with life”
Home lessons are generally allowed in Austria – however, you must report this to the educational authority on time. That did not happen in this case. The girl was in primary school for three years, her little brother for a year. Since this school year they go to a project group twice a week and learn at home without a curriculum (expiration date).
