The tunnel of the Wannetunnel in the bypass bypass van Heitenwang (Reutte District) was the setting for a spectacular collision between a car and a minibus on Sunday afternoon.
A 69-year-old Belgian traveled around 3 p.m. to Bichlbach with his car on the Fernpaßstraße (B 179) in the Wannesbachtunnel. There was a 70-year-old Belgian at the passenger seat.
The course of the accident is still unclear
For an unknown cause there was a frontal collision in the tunnel with a minibus directed by an 18-year-old German-driven bus.
All three people in the cars suffered considerable injuries in the collision. They came to the Reutte District Hospital. Both vehicles were badly damaged.
Fernpassstrasse completely closed
For the duration of the rescue and rescue work, the B 179 had to be completely closed for a good hour. Various police stripes, rescue and emergency doctor, as well as the voluntary fire brigades that Heitenwang and Lermoos were employed.
