Uses 5.3 million liters or more than 10,000 euros in one year! The next phase was now in the bizarre Waldviertel-judiciary around the consumption of a man with a house in the municipality of Brand-Nagelberg.
In 2023, the almost incredible consumption of a resident of the municipality of Brand-Nagelberg of 5.3 million liters of tap water made a juicy municipal calculation of 10,075 euros. The previously disputed consumption of more than 80 years and did not accept measurements of the federal area.
Intervening victory with an abuse advertisement
Since then, the “Kroon” has reported several times about the bizarre case in the Waldviertel. For the time being, the pensioner celebrated a legal intermediate victory: the administrative court “kissed” the judgment of the subordinate copy because some procedural documents were delivered too late for the man.
As a result, the resident also showed Mayor Georg Einsinger for abuse of office. After the public prosecutor’s investigation was stopped by the public prosecutor, the pensioner insisted that the public prosecutor did the trial he did not do.
Procedure ends with the same result
Again, the procedure was carried out for the board of the state with the subtitles of the witnesses. With the same result, as once: the more than 80-year-old pensioner has to pay the 10,075 euros to the municipality. The municipality cannot explain where the terrible, 5.3 million liters of water came from – the consumption in 2024 was again normal.
“At the end of the day, Justice won. I am happy that the approach to the community was confirmed. We have also done nothing wrong and have only acted in the best knowledge and faith for our citizens,” the local chef emphasizes.
How such masses of water?
For comparison: the average annual consumption of a budget with two people in Lager Austria is almost 100,000 liters. “A flap-dripping tap causes 6200 liters, a leaked Cistern 175,000 liters per year. 5.3 million liters would be 208 fillings of a swimming pool with 4 by 3 times 2 meters or a 220 days full of garden hose,” said water expert Stefan Zach of EVN, who once deepened a large leak near a channel.
