In Pakistan a man shot his youthful daughter (16) because she did not want to delete her account on the Tiktok video platform. The family initially tried to present the murder as suicide, said the police in the city of Rawalpindi – but in vain.
“The girl’s father had asked to put his Tikok account. When she refused, he killed her,” said a police spokesperson on Friday. The researchers assume that the father wanted to commit a “Eremoord” of his 16-year-old daughter. The crime took place on Tuesday, the man was arrested.
In the majority of Muslim Pakistan, women and girls are repeatedly victims of violence of family members if they do not comply with the strict social rules. These also apply to behavior on the internet, which is seen as an audience.
Tikok is very popular in Pakistan. Last month a 17-year-old influenced person who followed hundreds of thousands of people on the platform killed by a man whose progress she had rejected.
In the south of Pakistan, a father recently killed his 21-year-old son because he had regular contact with trans-sex persons. He stated that his son is afraid of a sexual relationship and had taken care of the reputation of his family.
