GoodMills Austria GmbH is recalling the product “Finis Feinstes Rye Whole Wheat Flour, 1000g” with batch number February2023/L19D. In an analysis, impurities in the form of ochratoxin-A (fungus poison, nut) were found in a sample and judged to be harmful.
“We strongly recommend that you do not consume any of the affected products,” the company said. In order to comply with the duty of care, the product is recalled by the company.
Customers get money back
The product can be returned to the retail chains where the product was purchased. The money is refunded to customers even without proof of purchase. Other brand products are not affected.
The company also emphasizes that this warning does not mean that the danger has been caused by their company: “The quality and safety of our products is our highest priority and is our highest priority. We deeply regret the incident and apologize to all customers for the caused discomfort.”
