Use at Grazer Griesplatz: An 18-year-old is said to have threatened a woman with a knife on Thursday evening and asked for money. The police were finally able to arrest the man – but was also threatened by him.
Around 3 o’clock police officers from the Karlaerstrasse Politie -inspection were called to Griesplatz. Witnesses reported a man with a knife in the open street. When the patrol arrived, the police saw an 18-year-old stateless, who suited the description of the perpetrator. He stood in front of a cafe and wanted to get out of the dust.
The police asked him to stop, after which the man turned around to patrol and brought out a knife. The police officers pulled the service weapon and kept him in chess before the Fast Intervention Group (SIG) was able to overwhelm the 18-year-old.
According to testimonies, the man had previously threatened a 34-year-old Grazian with the knife and asked for money. The man was transferred to the Graz Police Reces Center, the further research is being conducted by the Crime Department of the Graz City Police Command.
