Just two days after a 69-year-old man fell from his hay loader while haying in Schwarzenberg on Thursday and suffered serious injuries to his cervical spine, the next serious accident happened on Saturday while working with hay. In the community of Buch, just a few miles from Schwarzenberg, a 52-year-old was run over by a vintage tractor and seriously injured.
On Saturday afternoon, a 52-year-old farmer in the municipality of Buch was busy making hay. His vintage tractor crashed for unknown reasons.
The farmer was thrown from his vehicle, fell under the wheels and was run over. The 52-year-old received first information after serious injuries to his back.
After the first aid on site by the alarmed A&E doctor, the farmer was flown by the crew of the rescue helicopter Christophorus 8 to the state hospital in Bregenz.
