A 60-year-old Kosovar allegedly shot an opponent in Bavaria. After fleeing across the Salzach to Upper Austria, he is currently temporarily detained in Ried im Innkreis.
Justice in Upper Austria is not responsible for the murder suspect from Burghausen (Bavaria), but the 60-year-old Kosovar has still not been released. “He is in custody,” explains Alois Ebner, chief prosecutor in Ried.
Police dog “Denver” has tracked down fugitives
On Saturday, the suspect, who fled over the Salzach to Überackern after the crime and was tracked down by the police dog “Denver”, was questioned by the magistrate. He announced that he would agree to a simplified extradition – the transfer hearing will take place next week.
The motive for the bloody act, in which a 32-year-old was shot dead in front of an arcade and the suspect fired several shots before fleeing across the border, should have been clarified: the victim is said to have had a relationship with the suspect’s girlfriend.
