Dangerous incident on Friday evening in the Tyrolean lowlands: During a test drive with a quad bike in Kramsach (Kufstein district), the vehicle suddenly caught fire. Fortunately, the driver and passenger escaped unscathed.
Actually, a 41-year-old resident wanted to sell his quad to a potential buyer, but the vehicle – at least what’s left – is now a junkyard thing.
Fire brigade operation at 1500 meters
Because during the test drive to the Pletzachkogel in the Brandenberger Alps, the all-terrain vehicle suddenly caught fire at an altitude of about 1500 meters. Both the driver and passenger were able to get off in time and get to safety unharmed. But they had to watch as the quad burned out completely.
The alarmed fire brigade arrived with 16 emergency services and eventually extinguished the vehicle.
