The third country of origin for visitors arriving in the Basque Country and Navarre from abroad is the United States. However, six out of ten of the total come from other autonomous communities.

Six out of 10 people who visit us in Hegoalde they come from others autonomous communities, as logical, that is the main origin of the travelers who choose to go on vacation for a few days. But looking at those 40% of tourists from abroad, we see how the vast majority come from France, both in the case of Euskadi (21%) and Navarra (26%). From here, however, we have two curious pieces of information, on the one hand, the third country of origin of visitors arriving in Hegoalde is the United States. On the other hand, second and fourth place go to Germany and the rest of America.
The United Kingdom, despite the perception that there are some tourist attractions in the Basque Country or Navarre, is the fifth country of origin for visitors. However, it is the first among those who travel to Spain (let’s not forget that the communities with the greatest tourist offer are the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands and Catalonia, that is, the tourism attracted by the beaches).
In the rest of the Be precise, the origin of tourists is much more balanced, practically half is produced by residents moving internally, and the other half by foreigners. The United Kingdom, Germany, France, the rest of America and the United States are the main countries of origin and have remained practically the same as before the pandemic.
