More than five weeks after a deadly attack on a 34-year-old in Leipzig, East Germany, two teenagers and two young men were arrested. After the investigations, there were indications on Monday from a group of perpetrators from Berlin, the public prosecutor and the police.
The suspects are between 14 and 20 years old. The two youngest (14 and 16 years old) are from Romania and Russia, the two 18 and 20 year olds are German. Arrest warrants have been issued for all four men. The quartet is charged with theft resulting in death.
According to the prosecutors, they would have addressed the 34-year-old Indian citizen in his car. The man was then so badly injured by two people that he succumbed to his injuries two days later in hospital. After the attack, the victim’s money and valuables were stolen.
The Public Prosecution Service did not provide any further information about the crime and how the investigators came to the group.
