“I’m King Arthur and you’re my Klingon warrior! Grab my keys or I’ll blow it up!” – A lawyer threatened his doctor. Fortunately, the alleged “leader of the Knights of the Round Table” didn’t mean it seriously. The Styrian was also in court for strangling his roommate. Now he is being helped in psychiatry.
The suspect is wearing jeans, a blue shirt and an elegant gray jacket. He walks bent over, looks broken. “How are you doing today?” asks Judge Raimund Frei. “Unfortunately not so well”, the 50-year-old from Upper Styria replies calmly. “I’m very tense.”
“He suffers from paranoid schizophrenia,” explains prosecutor Stefan Pirker. “It evokes aggression.” Attorney Georg-Christian Gass emphasizes that his client has confessed, but that he cannot remember everything. “His healing is the most important thing now.”
Dispute over austerity as a motive?
“They are described as cooperative and friendly,” the judge said. “How did the suffocation come about?” – “It wasn’t me. He (the roommate, note) is physically superior to me.” He would have been afraid of him himself. “They would have eaten his slices,” says the lawyer. “I don’t remember.”
It can also be money for a paintball facility. “Maybe he scratched his own neck because I didn’t give it to him.” He no longer remembers the threat to the doctor. “I am very stunned that this statement (“King Arthur and the Klingon Warrior”) is mine.”
When asked how to proceed, the lawyer hopes that he will be cared for in forensic psychiatry. “I’ve been better since then.” His wish is granted. The 50-year-old is admitted.
