A 21-year-old is said to have taken a bend too fast in Döllach in the Liezen district of Styria and also had too much to drink: his car overturned and collided with a tractor. The car then flipped over twice. The driver and his co-driver were injured.
The accident happened around 8:25 p.m. A 21-year-old driver may have turned right too quickly on the L740 in Döllach. He was also drunk, it turned out later during a breath analysis. The car first came to rest on the verge and then went off the road. A rollover followed, followed by a collision with a tractor and two more rollovers.
Total loss and two injured
After the rollover, the car ended up on a sidewalk and bicycle path. The 24-year-old tractor driver was not injured, the two occupants of the same age in the car suffered injuries of unknown nature and were taken to the Rottenmann Regional Hospital after first aid.
The young man’s car was a total loss. The Liezen fire brigade was deployed with twelve people and two vehicles.
