A 55-year-old man’s e-bike ride in the Bavarian town of Sonthofen, not far from the border with Vorarlberg, ended on Sunday with serious head injuries. A gust of wind had blown his headgear into the face of the man, who was wearing a hat instead of a helmet – he then crashed “flying blind” into a parked car.
On Sunday around 5.20 pm, a 55-year-old was on his e-bike in Sonthofen. Instead of a helmet, the man only wore a hat on his head.
And then the wind finally blew him in his face so unhappily that he saw nothing for a moment and ran into a parked car.
The man fell and was so seriously injured that he was taken to hospital with head injuries. The e-bike and the parked car also suffered material damage of about 2,250 euros.
