A 48-year-old carer is suspected of theft from a retired couple aged 79 and 81 in Vasoldsberg (Graz-Environs) district. The Romanian who was actually responsible for the care hastily left his home. Several thousand euros are missing.
The 48-year-old Romanian had already been employed for about two weeks for the 24-hour care of the 79-year-old from the Graz area. Her 81-year-old husband also lives in the same household. According to the agreement with the employer, the 48-year-old should have taken care of the pensioner for another two weeks.
But on Thursday morning, the nursing room, which had been made available for the duration of the stay, was suddenly empty. An amount of money of about 7,000 euros hidden in the house was also missing. Since then, there has been no trace of the 48-year-old.

The search for the 48-year-old Romanian is ongoing. The approximately 1.75 m tall and somewhat corpulent man has a shaved head. There is currently no evidence of worn clothing or a getaway vehicle. However, according to the latest findings, he may have fled abroad via Parndorf.
