Terrible and at the same time unusual accident in Linz. A one-year-old girl was scalded by a stew in the car and seriously injured. The food had been transported unsecured in the back seat.
A 34-year-old driver from Linz was on Wiener Strasse with his one-year-old daughter around 3.30 pm on Sunday. While driving, a pressure cooker with hot contents, probably a stew, was loosened in the back seat, to the left of the little girl in the child seat.
Lid came off
At a left turn, the lid of the cooking pot came off and the hot stew poured over the little girl. She suffered severe burns and was admitted to Kepler University Hospital in Linz after first aid.
