Another disturbing wolf incident occurred in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. A wolf and a human met on Saturday morning on the Alp Grüm in Puschlav. According to the cantonal authorities, the wolf followed the person for several minutes – age and gender were not specified – and growled at them.
According to the Grisons authorities, the meeting took place between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. The person was alone and without a dog on a hiking trail. “This situation is unusual for us and deviates from the normal behavior of a wolf,” Adrian Arquint, head of the Hunting and Fishing Bureau in the canton of Graubünden, explains in an interview with the Swiss online platform bluewin.ch. “It may take a while for a wolf pup to flee from a human, but this wolf followed a person and growled at him.”
Possible sick animal
A similar case occurred last year in the home range of the infamous Beverin pack. “Although that person had a dog with him at the time,” Arquint explains. “So maybe the wolf’s interest was in the dog.
