A young woman was held in the home of a 26-year-old man in Spain for six full days after he kidnapped her. The woman eventually managed to draw attention to herself through notes of cries for help. Fortunately, a passerby found them and immediately alerted the police.
The kidnapped woman threw the two small pieces of paper onto the street in O Porriño, Galicia, where they were luckily spotted by a passerby. She wrote, among other things, that the kidnapper planned to kill her, as the newspaper “El Mundo” reported on Wednesday, citing authorities.
After the passerby read the message from the young woman, she immediately called the police. The officers were able to free the woman from the apartment of a 26-year-old. The alleged perpetrator has since been arrested on charges of kidnapping and rape. According to the police, the man had been locked up and assaulted the victim for six days.
Accused previously convicted
The suspect, who already had a criminal record, was arrested by the investigating judge on Tuesday after the interrogation. The young woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
