Fatal traffic accident Sunday morning in Lower Austria: A minibus has run off the road near a highway bridge on the A5 in the Mistelbach district. The vehicle fell and hit the road below. All help came too late for the driver and the four other occupants were seriously injured.
The accident happened near Wolkersdorf. As reported by the ÖAMTC, the Polish-licensed minibus had fallen and the vehicle came to rest on the side of an embankment. The occupants were trapped in the wreckage. Three helicopters, several ambulances, police and fire brigade were deployed.
All help came too late for the driver. Three women were seriously injured and were flown by helicopter to nearby hospitals. The seriously injured man was taken to hospital by ambulance under the supervision of an ambulance.
